Kyra Isaacs is a 20 year old woman from South Africa and was born 7 years into our young democracy. Kyra like most young women, are actively making their voices heard but more needs to be done. Kyra is a singer, song writer and artists. Script: The other day, I dreamt that I woke up from a dream.  A dream within a dream. The softness of peace inside my mind as I wither away the thoughts of iron burns. A journey walked by few. Wished by many, all that is won and lost is in a time stuck in old mindsets. The cure for this cancer is acceptance but still we raise our weapon to continue the fight for what is called FREEDOM.  Household names. News networks. Knees on Necks, the brutal truth of brutality is waved away with flags of demigods on the steps of a Capitol. No one dares to charge the many when the few get pushed further into the field. But out of the mountain of despair, is a stone of hope. Not a kind word. Not a breast shield, her glory is doubtful when she tells her pain. She’s dismissed when her words fail “this or maybe that or here or there” All the Just need to discharge her truth.  How many feminine and child must be mourned before the ages gives shelter from those who swore to protect. At the hands of the one I loved, those hands grip my throat to leave his mark.
