G.U.I.D.A. (2021)
G.U.I.D.A. is a travel film that delves into individual memory for the preservation of the intangible heritage of places. In this project, I was commissioned by a local cultural foundation to tell the story of the small town where I live, together with the musicians of the audiovisual collective we founded. The main challenge was: how can we portray a place so wild and so deeply layered with history without falling into the clichés of mass tourism? So I imagined Balsam, a foreign traveler who arrives by chance in a city of stone, shaped by labor and water. Following a dream, he begins searching for the “genius loci” — the spirit of the place — eventually discovering a land far closer to his own home than he ever expected.
